These are a few pictures of our own SCs:
SC 008
SC 008 - 3.0 E, manual transmission, 1980, 82000 miles/132000 km when bought.

SC 008 is the oldest of it's kind in North America and so far the third oldest
known in the world with SC 005 and SC 006 still in existence in the Netherlands.
Being an early SC it is prone to rust and this car - despite decent looks
at first glance - is badly in need of body restoration.
A task that we will tackle bit by bit over the next few years.
When the car was new it was on display at several car shows and also used
for driving tests by major american car magazines,
for example Road & Track 10/81. We found the car in May 2002 in Florida.
SC 246
SC 246 - 3.0 E, automatic transmission, 1982, 85000 miles/137000 km when bought.

We got SC 246 from Californa in September 1999. It is almost rust free but
in neglected condition. This car too will need
restoration, but the task is not even half as daunting as what we are looking
at with SC 008. The car has been
painted red by one of the previous owners. The car's original colour was silver
metallic. Had it not been re-painted
we would own 3 silver metallic SCs.
SC 508
SC 508 - 3.9 E, automatic transmission, 1985, 33000 miles/53000 km when bought.

SC 508 was for sale on Ebay in June 2000 but did not get any bids. We spend
a few minutes of research on the www and found
out where the car was located (Virginia). 12 hours after the unsuccessful
Ebay listing ended, we bought the car.
This car is as nice as the pictures suggest with only a few minor flaws.
Cadillac Catera / Opel Omega
This is of course not a Bitter, but as you all know the Bitter's "Grandson".
On this side of the Atlantic it has been sold
as a Cadillac Catera. But of course we couldn't tolerate that and it has been
converted back into an Opel Omega B.
Front, rear and engine cover are already done. The wheel centres and the steering
wheel button are still on the to-do-list.
The problem is that the wheel centres are different on US wheels and the horn
button requires replacing the whole air-bag module.
It is very interesting to see how GM went about to convert the Opel into a Cadillac.
They reduced power to 200HP and actually made the car cheaper.
The navigation system has been taken out as well as the onboard computer.
Also the very cheap looking centre console from the
Cadillac STS has been fitted to the car. An awful thing. It is almost like
having a 70s stereo set in your car .
The design and look of it as well as the material, general finish and feel
of the buttons is a step down from the rest of the car.
